Whether partially threaded or fully threaded, studs are a commonly used item. Found in rigging on sailboats, among many other places, threaded studs can be particularly susceptible to corrosion from harsh environments like saltwater.
Used in automotive, marine and construction, these studs are made of a superior metal. Allied Titanium studs are TRUE TITANIUM(TM), specifically Grade 2 (CP Titanium) and are 44% lighter than stainless steel and will remain corrosion free in the natural environment. Titanium is the optimal choice for studs that are exposed to corrosive environments. Because of its low iron content (less than 0.3%) it will not rust nor be subject to crevice corrosion, therefore avoiding costly repair or replacement.
