These turnings and chips are coming from machining Grade 2, Grade 9 and Grade 5 titanium on lathes and milling machines with olive oil as the cutting fluid. The scrap contains a majority of Grade 5 titanium, with some Grade 2 titanium and very little Grade 9 titanium.
The turnings and chips are cleaned with a environmentally friendly detergent and water before being air dried.
What sets our scrap apart from other sources is the fact that we only use natural olive oil as a cutting fluid, which means any residual contamination is known to be olive oil. |
