  These set screws are TRUE TITANIUM(TM), specifically Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). Grade 5 titanium is a common aerospace alloy that has been used in commercial aircraft for decades. It is now affordable for the average user and a key component when working with composites or carbon fiber. Both carbon fiber and titanium are at the top of the galvanic scale which is why engineers specify titanium fasteners for use with carbon fiber and composites.

Grade 5 titanium has a minimum yield strength of 128,000 psi (880 Mpa), these set screws are designed for structural applications in shafts, pulleys, engines, or anywhere else that a high strength set screw is needed.
