These fillister head screws are TRUE TITANIUM(TM), specifically Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). Grade 5 titanium is a common aerospace alloy that has been used in commercial aircraft for decades. It is now affordable for the average user and a key component when working with composites or carbon fiber. Both carbon fiber and titanium are at the top of the galvanic scale which is why engineers specify titanium fasteners for use with carbon fiber and composites.
On our Grade 5 titanium screws, there is a trademarked Ring around the head so you can quickly see that the screw is high strength titanium, versus unalloyed titanium. With a minimum yield strength of 128,000 psi (880 Mpa), they are designed for structural applications in race cars, sailboats, powerboats, engines, bicycles, etc. If you are looking for high strength, or lightweight, or zero rust, these fillister head screws will work perfectly.
