These bolts are TRUE TITANIUM(TM), specifically Grade 5 (Ti-6Al-4V). Grade 5 titanium is a common aerospace alloy that has been used in commercial aircraft for decades. The bolts have a dimple in the top of the head that designates high strength and a flange under the head for distributing the bolting force. The heads are also reduced in diameter from what they would be normally be for a given shank diameter. This reduction in size is done for applications where there are head clearance issues, or to reduce weight even further beyond the weight savings that titanium offers. With a minimum yield strength of 128,000 psi (880 Mpa), they are designed for structural applications in engines, race cars, powerboats, machinery, etc. If you are looking for high strength, or lightweight, or zero rust and want a reduced flange head, these bolts will work perfectly.
